Today’s Sewing Adventures

Looks like an aerial view of a great snowy mountain with trees and fences as mere specks and lines…

Or perhaps black stars against a white sky…

But it is actually little black balls on a white skirt– black balls from my…

VELVETEEN!
Boy, does it shed! I have used three sheets on our lint roller to get it off my skirt, and have lots of sweeping and vacuuming to do!

I’m about half-done. I have the main part of the bodice done (I managed, I think!) and now have the sleeves and finishing touches to do.

Forgive my message hair in the picture. 😛
I did something else silly today. I was going to change the needle from working with the [extremely slippery] lining to the thick velveteen, and I wasn’t holding onto the needle as I unscrewed it so it fell INTO the inside of the sewing machine!! :-S
It wasn’t hard to get out though. Mommy and I just turned it over, unscrewed the bottom, and retrieved it– along with several broken straight pins and a LOT of lint!!
Fun experiences. 🙂

Events are the Lord’s; the responses are ours…
even in sewing!

I hope you are all having a good week and setting your eyes on the Lord.
Commit your works unto Him!
